Internet pornography is damaging to young people’s views on sex and relationships, with the sharing of sexual images and videos now being “a part of everyday life for teenagers” think-tank IPPR has found in a survey of 500 young British people.

Young people lack information on pornography. Ofsted has already warned that half of secondary schools are failing to educate students on pornography, sexual abuse and LGBT issues. “The failure to include discussion of pornography is concerning,” the report said, back in May.

Young Minds is campaigning for newly appointed education secretary Nicky Morgan – who voted against equal marriage – to improve sex education in schools.
